Our client is a leading developer in the industry, owning and developing projects across all major and emerging offshore wind markets. They are now recruiting with a superb new opportunity for an Onshore Substation Senior Package Advisor to join them on an initial 6 month contractual basis, based in Copenhagen.
With a significant track record of successfully delivering projects and a vast project pipeline across the UK, Europe and emerging international markets, this is an incredibly exciting time to join them in their current project.
Responsibilities:
- you will work closely with, and report to, the Package Manager to deliver the project on time, to budget and with a high degree of quality.
- You will take responsibility for the delivery of sub-packages such as electrical, control & instrumentation system and civils design, manufacturing control, construction and commissioning, grid integration, and will support the delivery of the contracts
- Ensure Contractor’s adherence to the contract, applicable HSE, consenting and technical standards and directives, and industry best practice
- You will work with the package team to propose solutions to performance issues and implement remediation plans
- Promote and stive for the highest standards of HSE and quality
- Manage sub-packages of works in the onshore substation package and co-ordinate inputs from a multi-disciplinary team
- Act as a role model and drive ‘Right First Time’ behaviours within the project team to promote comprehensive planning, risk identification, mitigation and taking action to recover forecast departures from plan
- Support contract management, variation negotiation and claim management
Requirements:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or demonstrable equivalent level of knowledge obtained from professional experience
- Membership of recognised Project Management organisation such as APM
- Minimum 7 years package/project management experience on large, complex capital projects through construction phase, especially HV and EHV transmission systems and associated works in Denmark
- Knowledge of grid infrastructure, grid connection process and Grid Code requirements
- Strong level of competency in contract management, claims management, negotiation techniques and dispute resolution methodologies
- Project management, influencing and negotiation skills with supplier and operators
