This is a fantastic opportunity for a Reliability Engineer to join our major, global pharmaceutical client on their latest new-build project based in Ohio, this is a large-scale greenfield capital project and investing more than $1bn.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and support the implementation of facility management best practices to ensure optimal operations.
- Work closely with campus security teams to integrate security measures with facility operations.
- Ensure compliance with facility management standards and regulatory guidelines related to safety and environmental policies.
- Develop and oversee programs for the proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials.
- Ensure waste management practices align with environmental regulations and corporate sustainability goals.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance waste reduction strategies.
- Provide technical expertise and mentorship to maintenance teams, ensuring the adoption of industry best practices.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and training programs for maintenance personnel.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and methodologies to enhance operational reliability.
- Ensure all maintenance and facility management activities comply with relevant regulatory standards (OSHA, GMP, EPA, etc.).
- Participate in audits and inspections, providing technical support and implementing corrective actions as required.
- Develop and manage risk mitigation plans related to asset reliability and facility operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or equivalent work experience.
- Extensive experience in maintenance and reliability engineering within industrial or pharmaceutical environments.
- Strong understanding of maintenance best practices, including predictive and preventive maintenance, failure mode analysis (FMEA), and asset management strategies.
- Experience in facility management and security operations within a regulated environment.
- Knowledge of waste handling regulations and environmental compliance requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating operational risks.
- Strong communication and leadership skills to collaborate across departments and mentor junior engineers.
- Willingness to work 3 days per week on-site or 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off schedule.
- Certification in Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM), Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP), or equivalent.
- Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) such as SAP, Maximo, or similar.
- Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Knowledge of industrial HVAC, utilities, and critical infrastructure systems.
