Marshalling Harbour Quantity Surveyor - Offshore Wind - Netherlands - 2-Year Contract

Our client is a leading developer in the industry, owning and developing projects across all major and emerging offshore wind markets. They are now recruiting with a superb new opportunity for a Marshalling Harbour Quantity Surveyor to join them on an initial 2-year contractual basis, based in northern Netherlands.

With a significant track record of successfully delivering projects and a vast project pipeline across the UK, Europe and emerging international markets, this is an incredibly exciting time to join them in their current project.


Responsibilities: 
  • Support Lead Site Manager/ Site Coordinators on all logistic relevant topics.  Mon-Fri
  • Quantifying, auditing and checking MH contractor works to allocate costs between NSC, Thor or others. 
  • Input into the Production of Daily Progress Reports on system.
  • Review and sign off of MH Contractor DPRs (and other onsite works contractors).
  • Daily operational contact with MH contractor for the mobilisation, operation and demobilisation of MH
  • Highlights site risks, issues, concerns and opportunities against project schedule, budget, contract and operational constraints to Lead Site Manager / Site Coordinators.
  • Robust documentation management/administration, including for customs processes. 
  • Reports to Lead Site Manager, Marshalling Harbour & Interim Transport Package Manager and Contract Manager with site progress and cost/timesheet allocations to inform reporting and invoicing.
  • Inputting to project schedules and assessing the budget as delegated
  • Contribute to the development of technical documents and tenders for additional site works
  • Expectation to be covering scope at Marshalling Harbours, and provide support to other foundation installation scopes as needed.

Requirements: 
  • BSc or other relevant Bachelor of Engineering degree
  • Work experience in quantity surveying role
  • Relevant transferable education and skills sufficient to perform the Project Tasks
  • High level of interpersonal skill set to facilitate cross-project, cross-package Involvement and interfaces
  • High level of detail focus and interface management
  • Ability to operate autonomously
  • Fluent English speaker, with Dutch and/or German an advantage
