Project Manager - Ohio, United States - 12 Months Contract with potential extensions

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Project Manager to join our major, global pharmaceutical client on their latest new-build project based in Ohio, this is a large-scale greenfield capital project and investing more than $1bn.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the planning, execution, and completion of the capital project, focusing on the development of a state-of-the-art oligo / peptide clinical trial manufacturing facility.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Manage all aspects of project delivery, including scope, cost, schedule, quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, procurement, and quality assurance to drive project success.
  • Oversee the selection, negotiation, and management of contractors and vendors, ensuring adherence to project requirements and safety standards.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to achieve project milestones and objectives.
  • Provide regular project updates, reports, and presentations to senior management and stakeholders.
Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field (equivalent experience will be considered).
  • Extensive experience in managing large-scale capital projects over $300m within GMP manufacturing environments (Biologics or Pharmaceutical experience preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (PMI, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification is a plus).
  • Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams across various project phases.
  • Experience in leading projects from concept through commissioning and qualification.
  • Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing and knowledge of related regulatory requirements.
  • Familiarity with process equipment used in drug substance manufacturing facilities.
  • Demonstrated experience in CAPEX project execution within the pharmaceutical industry.
