MEP SME - Ohio - Pharmaceuticals - 12-Month Contract

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced MEP Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team for a large scale construction project in Ohio. The MEP SME will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of construction for Mechanical, Electrical, and Piping (MEP) systems during the project’s construction phase. This position is ideal for a professional with a background in regulated industries (e.g., manufacturing, automotive, aerospace) who has a passion for delivering high-quality construction in a highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and ensure the quality of construction for MEP systems, including Mechanical, Electrical, and Piping, throughout the construction phase of the project.
  • Collaborate closely with construction managers, contractors, and project teams to ensure that MEP systems meet all design specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide expert guidance on MEP construction methods, materials, and industry best practices to enhance quality assurance on site.
  • Monitor and review contractor performance, ensuring adherence to project schedules, quality benchmarks, and safety protocols.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to assess the quality of MEP installations, identify potential issues, and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
  • Ensure that all MEP systems are compliant with relevant industry standards and project-specific regulatory requirements.
  • Facilitate communication between various project stakeholders, including engineers, contractors, and client representatives, to address any MEP-related concerns.
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, and submittals for accuracy and completeness, identifying any discrepancies or areas for improvement.
  • Support the project team in managing changes to MEP scope, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines and maintaining high-quality outcomes.
Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience in MEP construction, preferably within a regulated industry (manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of MEP systems and their construction within large-scale capital projects.
  • Proven track record of managing construction quality, particularly focused on Mechanical, Electrical, and Piping systems.
  • Excellent knowledge of industry standards, building codes, and regulatory compliance in construction.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and address construction-related issues efficiently.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, able to work with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Highly detail-oriented with a focus on ensuring construction quality and adherence to project specifications.
  • Experience with quality control, site inspections, and managing contractors is essential.
  • Familiarity with construction management tools and processes is a plus.
