Electrical Project Manager - North Carolina - Contract

This is a fantastic opportunity for an Electrical Project Manageto join our major, global pharmaceutical client on their latest new-build project based in Raleigh, this is a large-scale greenfield capital project and investing more than $1bn.

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and assess current power distribution systems, identifying potential vulnerabilities, and collaborate with the ETC and site engineering teams to improve reliability.
  • Develop a comprehensive backup power and UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) strategy to prevent critical system downtime and enhance operational continuity.
  • Work closely with design and engineering firms to develop necessary design documents, ensuring alignment with project objectives and industry standards.
  • Partner with the site engineering team to develop and present funding proposals for project implementation, working to ensure timely approvals.
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to select qualified construction and electrical contractors, ensuring adherence to project specifications and budget constraints.
  • Manage and oversee all aspects of the project from initiation to completion, coordinating project activities, timelines, and resources.
  • Facilitate required testing and manage site shutdowns in alignment with operational schedules.
  • Serve as a key liaison between diverse stakeholders, including site engineering, contractors, and other project partners, ensuring clear, continuous communication to keep the project on track.

Skills and Experience:
  • Project Management working at existing sites
  • Demonstrated strong communication skills across diverse customer base
  • Worked with construction contractors and engineering professional services with demonstrated success in delivering projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-starter with minimal oversight needed
