Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Lead - Michigan, USA - 18-Month Contract 

Do you want to work with an exciting company who are an established market leader within their unique and niche field? We have a fantastic opportunity for a Electrical and Instrumentation Lead with experience to drive the delivery of a large new capital invest project on an initial 12-month contract. As the Electrical and Instrumentation Lead you will play a key role in the successful delivery of a new state of the art facility.


Responsibilities and Requirements: 
  • Report to the Engineering Design Lead.
  • Deliver a high-end facility with respect to the E&I scope, in line with industry best practices, within budget and schedule, without compromising safety.
  • Initiate and maintain an open relationship with the A/E team and the wider team to ensure successful project delivery.
  • With the Project Quality Lead, ensure that the appropriate Quality standards are applied for the Engineering phase of the project, consistent with best practice and internal Quality Standards and expectations.
  • Verify that E&I design input to the 3D model is provided in sufficient detail to allow the contractor to build the facility with minimum change required.
  • Initiate and maintain an open relationship with the A/E team and the wider team to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Maintain strong interface with Mechanical & Piping and HVAC & Utility leads to ensure smooth and co-operative co-ordination through design and construction.
  • Draw from experience in relation to design and engineering solutions required to provide a world class design and construction installation.
  • Ensure that adequate resources are applied, within the cost constraints of the project, to achieve the project goals.
  • Adjust day-to-day role requirements depending on the immediate demands and requirements set down by the project as a whole.
  • With the Construction E&I Lead, ensure that the quality and design intent is in line with expectations, including review of ‘first-of-kinds’ / mock-ups to ensure construction installation is consistent with design intent.
