This is a fantastic opportunity for a Construction Safety QA Director to join our major, global pharmaceutical client on their latest new-build project based in Ohio, this is a large-scale greenfield capital project and investing more than $1bn.
Roles & Responsibility
- Develop and implement a comprehensive safety program for the entire duration of the $1 billion pharmaceutical capital project.
- Champion a safety-first culture, fostering awareness and accountability among all project stakeholders.
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Establish and enforce a rigorous quality assurance framework, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Collaborate with construction teams to integrate quality measures into project plans and processes.
- Conduct quality audits and inspections to verify compliance with established standards.
- Stay current with safety regulations and standards applicable to the pharmaceutical industry.
- Liaise with regulatory affairs teams to ensure alignment with safety and quality requirements.
- Prepare and submit documentation for regulatory approvals related to safety and quality assurance.
- Identify and assess potential safety and quality risks associated with construction activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Construction Management, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Extensive experience in construction safety and quality assurance within the pharmaceutical industry, including a successful track record in leading large-scale capital projects.
- In-depth knowledge of safety regulations, industry standards, and quality assurance best practices.
- Professional certifications such as CSP, CHST, or similar are highly desirable.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and inspire a safety-focused culture.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and contractors.
