Our client, a global (bio)pharmaceutical manufacturing organisation, is recruiting for a Project Engineer to join them on their new expansion project. Based in a charming French location, this is on a contractual basis, and will involve significantly growing the sites capacity for the manufacture of Biologics.
Responsibilities:
- Engage with key stakeholders to ensure project SHE objectives/goals/KPIs are clearly defined and agreed.
- Engage with internal stakeholders and the project team to provide a single point of contact for engineering SHE, ensuring targets and requirements are clearly understood and delivered.
- Engage with the project team to verify the have received the correct SHE training (onboarding plan) to ensure SHE studies meet standards and expectations.
- Engage with local SHE and client to ensure site experience and requirements are integrated in the design.
- Engage with Design Manager to assess SHE impact of changes.
- Engage with the Construction SHE Lead about safe to start and pre-start-up safety review topics.
- Support the Project Technical Manager in the selection of suitable SHE study contractors.
- Deliver the require safety studies and identify any required further scopes.
Review safety studies carried out by other contractors or vendors (for example ATEX, relief calculations and machinery safety, with the exclusion of fire safety), acting as the “intelligent customer”. - Share deliverables with the relevant client and project team members for comment and approval to ensure the SHE studies are completed to a good level of quality and that their outcome is integrated in the design.
Requirements:
- French speaking
- Strong collaborator with ability to create and maintain effective working relationships and willing to challenge behaviours and actions.
- Demonstrated practitioner of practical problem-solving.
- Detail focused completer/finisher with a results-orientated mindset.
- Strong leadership qualities with motivational ability to direct others in a dynamic and complex environment through change.
