Automation Engineer - Biotech/Pharma - Wilson, NC - 12-Month Contract 

Our client, one of the world’s largest pharmaceutical organizations is responsible for developing and manufacturing medicines and vaccines for a wide range of medical disciplines. They have been responsible for the development of many blockbuster drugs in both the USA and the EU and have a presence in the USA, EU and Asia-Pacific.

With continued organizational growth and a considerable amount of investment across the portfolio and capital program they are seeking the expertise of an Automation Engineer.


Responsibilities:

  • As an Automation Engineer your knowledge and skills will contribute towards the goals and objectives of the team
  • Your focus and ability to meet team targets will help in completing critical deliverables
  • Your innovative use of communication tools and techniques will facilitate in explaining difficult issues and establishing consensus between teams
  • Contribute to the completion of projects, manage own time on agreed targets, develop plans for own projects and leads small project teams
  • Monitor, generate and complete the periodic review, validation master plan for the automation engineering program
  • Demonstrate good planning, organizing, time management and team participation skills
  • Responsible for routine and preventive maintenance work, ensure all the equipment and facilities work safely, efficiently and reliably
  • Generate and develop standard operating procedures and system support
  • Analyze operational process problems and recommend appropriate corrective and preventative actions
  • Manage change control authoring and execution
  • Provide 24x7x365 support of our automation systems and perform automation activities for capital and non-capital projects
  • Modify simple to moderately complex control logic that requires a degree of scientific and/or manufacturing process expertise
  • Clearly communicate progress and issues to peers

Requirements:
  • Knowledge of Computerized Systems, Compliance regulations and standards
  • Familiar with industrial control systems such as DCS, PLCs, SCADA systems, Historians, or SQL Server.
  • Experience in project management to timelines and budgets
  • Experience in troubleshooting issues to root cause and recommending and implementing effective corrective actions.
