Our client, one of the world’s largest pharmaceutical organizations is responsible for developing and manufacturing medicines and vaccines for a wide range of medical disciplines. They have been responsible for the development of many blockbuster drugs in both the USA and the EU and have a presence in the USA, EU and Asia-Pacific.
With continued organizational growth and a considerable amount of investment across the portfolio and capital program they are seeking the expertise of an Automation Engineer.
Responsibilities:
- As an Automation Engineer your knowledge and skills will contribute towards the goals and objectives of the team
- Your focus and ability to meet team targets will help in completing critical deliverables
- Your innovative use of communication tools and techniques will facilitate in explaining difficult issues and establishing consensus between teams
- Contribute to the completion of projects, manage own time on agreed targets, develop plans for own projects and leads small project teams
- Monitor, generate and complete the periodic review, validation master plan for the automation engineering program
- Demonstrate good planning, organizing, time management and team participation skills
- Responsible for routine and preventive maintenance work, ensure all the equipment and facilities work safely, efficiently and reliably
- Generate and develop standard operating procedures and system support
- Analyze operational process problems and recommend appropriate corrective and preventative actions
- Manage change control authoring and execution
- Provide 24x7x365 support of our automation systems and perform automation activities for capital and non-capital projects
- Modify simple to moderately complex control logic that requires a degree of scientific and/or manufacturing process expertise
- Clearly communicate progress and issues to peers
Requirements:
- Knowledge of Computerized Systems, Compliance regulations and standards
- Familiar with industrial control systems such as DCS, PLCs, SCADA systems, Historians, or SQL Server.
- Experience in project management to timelines and budgets
- Experience in troubleshooting issues to root cause and recommending and implementing effective corrective actions.
