QCS Staffing Half Year Review 2019

The month of January provided a good start to the year for QCS Staffing, with more business opportunities being gained than had been planned.  During the month we entertained a new European client in our offices for two days, interviewing candidates for a new project.  It was very helpful for them to see QCS Staffing work from the inside, and their comments were very encouraging.   Further to this, we welcomed four new colleagues to the QCS Staffing ‘family’ and they have made great progress during the course of the year.  At the end of January, QCS Staffing held their Half Year company presentation at Ashridge House.  All the teams presented their past results and future plans.  This was followed by the famous QCS Staffing Quiz culminating in a draw and a ‘press up’ finalizer!!

February may be a shorter month, but it was no less busy for the team as QCS Staffing was proudly placed 40th in the Sunday Times Top 100 Companies to Work For.  The month ended with a heap of internal promotions and successful probation passes that will help sustain our growth over the years ahead.

QCS Staffing ended the 1st quarter of 2019 on a high.  During the month we welcomed five more new colleagues to the QCS Staffing ‘family’, all new to the recruitment industry, and they commenced their training with gusto!  March saw the 1st QCS Staffing BBQ of the year where we erect a marquee in the car park and the Directors cook a BBQ for all the whole company.  It was wet and windy but still great fun.  We also proudly confirmed our signature to the Armed Forces Covenant .

The month of April was full of birthday celebrations.  The QCS Staffing board of directors all had birthdays in the month; totalling a massive +150 years on planet Earth 😊 There were also a high number of ‘work birthdays’, so there was much to celebrate.  On the charity front, the four local charities that QCS Staffing support all visited the office to present their work to the newer members of the QCS Staffing ‘family’.  We used the opportunity to present them all with a cheque covering the sum we had collected on their behalf over the previous 12 months.  To continue our fundraising efforts on the 28th April, the QCS Staffing Cycling Team completed the DENS Hillbuster, 40 miles of cycling through the hills of Hertfordshire.  They raised a huge £1138 for their efforts!!

May was a great month with the teams collectively achieving target.  There was a further clutch of promotions but the main talking point throughout the whole month was about the forthcoming Champions League final between Liverpool and Spurs!  The QCS Staffing Board have avid supporters in each camp and so there were many ‘interesting’ discussions.

And so, to June, and particularly to the 1st June.  Two of the QCS Staffing directors were lucky enough to attend the Champions League final in Seville.  It is very fitting that their respective slogans are “ Never Give Up” and “Audere est facere” (To dare is to do).  Both slogans would fit QCS Staffing well, where we create an opportunistic culture and encourage all our colleagues to surpass their goals.  During the remainder of the month we had further promotions and welcomed two new colleagues to the QCS Staffing ‘family’.  In addition, there was some more fund raising with the QCS Staffing Football Shirt day, where several hundreds of pounds was raised for our four chosen charities.
