Senior Technical Manager (infrastructure projects) - Netherlands -Permanent

We are currently partnering with a leading global consulting and engineering company that are looking for experienced data centre professionals to join their team. Our client is working with many major developers in the data centre space and require a Senior Technical Manager for their Amsterdam location.

Our client offers strategic, tactical, and operational advice to a variety of entities, including colocation data centres, internet service providers, and telecom companies. Their team is composed of experts in diverse fields such as electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, construction, civil engineering, structure, building, architecture, fire safety, control engineering, and security technology.

Responsibilities:
  • Understand the goals and objectives of clients in infrastructure projects.
  • Identify the needs of contractors for acquisition, design, and project realisation.
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, project stakeholders, and specialists to develop optimal solutions.
  • Prioritise safety in all project phases.
  • Motivate team members to take ownership and lead by example.
  • Work closely with the project manager to assemble a multidisciplinary team, including civil, electrical, and mechanical engineers, material experts, and ecologists.
Requirements:
  • Minimum higher professional education level in a relevant field, such as civil engineering, mechanical engineering, technical business administration or construction management
  • Extensive relevant work experience, for example as a technical manager or design leader
  • A strong feeling and a keen eye for safety and sustainability
  • Demonstrable experience in working (together) with client, contractors and/or engineering and research firms
  • Strong affinity with at least two of the following fields of work: road design, structural design or area surveys
