Senior Construction Claims Manager - Germany - 18 Months Contract

The Senior Construction Claims Manager will play a critical role in managing and mitigating contractual risks associated with this major capital expenditure project. This position requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in contract and claims management, particularly within large-scale construction projects.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage construction claims, including review, evaluation, and resolution of claims from suppliers (approximately 70% of the role).
  • Oversee contract management, ensuring adherence to delivery schedules, supplier deliverables, and contractual agreements (approximately 30% of the role).
  • Manage the onboarding of new suppliers and ensure smooth contract execution.
  • Implement and manage change control processes for supplier deliverables, including procurement actions.
  • Provide regular reports to internal management and stakeholders on contract and claims status.
  • Lead and potentially build a Construction Contract Management (CCM) team, depending on organisational structure.
  • Contribute to project controls and construction management activities.
Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience in contract and claims management, with a proven track record of leading CCM teams in large capital expenditure projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction project management principles and practices.
  • Technical understanding of construction projects is highly advantageous.
  • Commercial experience and background are essential.
  • Experience in any industry is acceptable.
  • Fluency in German and English is required.
  • Experience managing various claims from suppliers.
  • Experience ensuring delivery dates are adhered to, and supplier deliverables are on track.
