An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Process Engineer and/or Chemical Engineer to join a manufacturing expansion project. As a pioneering leader in the pharmaceutical industry, this is an interesting and exciting project to be part of! Within the role of Project Engineer you will be required to support the Project from cradle to grave.
This role involves potentially looking at the design, development and optimisation of the manufacturing processes, equipment, and systems to meet strict regulatory standards and production goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, extensive knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing, and a passion for contributing to the rapidly growing.
Equipment involved includes: Heat exchangers, mixing vessels, dehumidifiers and distillation columns so any experience with these would be beneficial.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support project delivery by taking ownership of certain work packages.
- Provide support with design reviews
- Develop URS’s
- Carry out FAT’s and SAT’s
- Support equipment installation
- Collaborate with Validation team during commissioning and qualification activities
Skills & Experience required:
- Degree in Chemical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Previous Pharmaceutical / Chemical Manufacturing experience.
- Understanding of Process design Understanding / experience with commissioning
- Experience with Manufacturing process support
- Min of 3 years of experience in pharmaceutical or chemical-based manufacturing.
- Deep knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, equipment, GMP regulations, and cannabis industry standards.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proven track record of process optimization in a regulated environment.
- Proficiency in process simulation software and other relevant engineering tools
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Project management experience is highly desirable.
- Scale up project experience hugely beneficial.
