Lead Automation Engineer - Asturias - 2 Years Contract

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the automation engineering team in the design and development of automation systems for the battery component factory.
  • Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of automation equipment and systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, and project managers, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Develop and implement maintenance and reliability programs for automation systems.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost-benefit analyses for automation engineering projects.
  • Provide technical expertise and support during the procurement of automation equipment and materials. 
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in automation engineering, preferably in the automotive or battery manufacturing industry.
  • Proven experience in leading engineering teams and managing large-scale projects.
  • Strong knowledge of automation design principles, control systems, and industrial automation technologies.
  • Proficiency in PLC programming, SCADA systems, and other automation tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good knowledge of MS software.
  • Fluent in Spanish & English speaking and writing.
