This is a fantastic opportunity for an Electrical SME to join our major, global pharmaceutical client on their latest new-build project based in Ohio, this is a large-scale greenfield capital project and investing more than $1bn.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and review electrical design documentation, including one-line drawings, electrical specifications, instrumentation data sheets, lighting plans, and cable containment layouts.
- Collaborate with the General Contractor and E&I design teams to provide feedback, challenge assumptions, and ensure adherence to project requirements.
- Supervise electrical installations on-site, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Work closely with the commissioning team to support electrical systems testing and start-up.
- Lead team meetings and provide supervision, guidance, and review for a minor group of users and responsible engineers.
- Act as the primary liaison between design teams, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
- Participate in the contract management process with the General Contractor, including evaluating progress, reviewing change orders, addressing supply chain challenges, and identifying commercial opportunities.
- Ensure project milestones are met with a focus on execution, structure, and effective coordination.
- Proactively navigate complex project settings with a "go-do" attitude.
- Foster strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders to align project goals and resolve challenges.
- Experience overseeing electrical installations in large-scale pharmaceutical, biotech, or highly regulated industrial projects.
- Proven track record of coordinating electrical engineering and installation activities in complex project settings.
- Comprehensive understanding of electrical engineering and design principles, with the ability to review and challenge technical designs.
- Experience working with high-voltage systems, particularly 15 kV cabling, is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities, with experience guiding multidisciplinary teams.
- Exceptional organizational and coordination skills, with a structured approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Hands-on, execution-driven attitude with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, complex project environment.
- Proactive and adaptable, capable of addressing challenges and driving solutions effectively.
