Cost Controller – Pharmaceuticals – Puerto Rico

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Cost Controller to join our major, global pharmaceutical client on their latest new-build project based in Puerto Rico, this is a large-scale greenfield capital project and investing more than $1bn.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain cost estimates, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
  • Work with SAP & GFD systems to track project financials and cost allocations.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Procurement, and Project Controls teams to optimize spending.
  • Evaluate and process RFIs, purchase orders (POs), and vendor contracts.
  • Support scheduling efforts by integrating cost data into Primavera P6 and Excel-based reports.
  • Provide regular variance analysis, cost tracking, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with company financial policies and industry regulations.
Skills and Experience:
  • Experience in cost control/project controls within pharma, biotech, or manufacturing CAPEX projects.
  • Strong SAP knowledge for cost tracking and procurement.
  • Experience with cost forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
  • Familiarity with Primavera P6 and Excel for scheduling and cost tracking.
  • Ability to work across multiple projects and PMs simultaneously.
