Automation Lead - Frankfurt - 12-Month Contract

Role and responsibilities:

  • Lead the technical automation activities and solutions for the project.
  • Secure a good and common structure for the solution.
  • Manage vendors and/or contractors.
  • Understand the process requirements and implement a robust solution in collaboration with stake holders.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with our engineering partners in relation to automation design, ensuring that the clients requirements are satisfactorily reflected in the design and that design deliverables are provided timely.
  • Make necessary decisions (ie where our engineering or construction management partner asks for guidance/decisions) in relation to automation design solutions, in liaison with relevant stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with I&C, Process and CQV parts of the project.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with the clients SME’s and end users to obtain necessary buy in.
  • Comment/challenge and coordinate review of design documentation.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with our construction management partner in relation to securing that construction activities satisfy the clients requirements, and that construction works adhere to the time schedule. Includes evaluation of progress and dealing with change orders, supply chain challenges and commercial opportunities.

Requirements:
  • 5+ years’ experience as automation project manager / work package owner from large pharma / biotech projects.
  • Solid experience with DCS systems, preferably Emerson’s Delta V system.
  • Having a great sense of structure and coordination.
  • Great positive energy and courage to empower and inspire others.
  • Experience from the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
  • Knowledge of batch processes, GMP, GAMP and the S88 standard.
  • Ability to hold the role as technical lead.
  • Leadership and communication skills is a must.
  • Ability to collaborate with a large range of stakeholders.
  • Having a go-do attitude and ability to navigate in a complex project setting.
