Associate Director – Structural Engineering - Nijmegen

Then we have an excellent opportunity for you as Associate Director/ Consulting Engineer (MCF/ Data Centres) for our structural team in Nijmegen. Our team consists of construction consultants, structural engineers and structural modellers within the Mission Critical Facilities business unit within the Business Line Industry & Buildings. We work for both national and international markets on innovative projects such as data centres, (renewable) energy facilities, and are progressive in applying the latest knowledge and techniques.


You will be responsible for:

• Coaching, conducting assessment and other HR-related conversations, contributing to the (knowledge) development, employee satisfaction and stable foundation of our team;
• Actively cooperating with the four constructive teams in the Netherlands, one in Germany, and with various partners and colleagues inside and outside the Netherlands, and with the management within our network organisation;
• Fulfil the further growth of the team through recruitment activities that increase our network and visibility in the market;
• From a clear customer focus, ensuring good results with regard to money, quality, planning, safety and relationship management on our team's projects;
• Composing a project group in consultation with the management team and managing it within the framework of our quality system;
• Maintaining a network and being able to generate new work from it;
• Visibility to the profession through publications and lectures.

What you will bring: 

• TU Architecture/ Civil Engineering, majoring in structures or structural design;
• Extensive relevant experience as a structural engineer/ project leader or consultant at a consultancy or engineering firm;
• (Demonstrable) ability to positively connect and motivate;
• (Demonstrated) ability to help clients define and solve their problems;
• Excellent technical knowledge and strong analytical skills;
• Able to transfer knowledge and professionalism to others.
