CAPEX Procurement Associate/Specialist - Pharmaceuticals - Ohio - 12-Month Contract

This is a fantastic opportunity for a CAPEX Procurement Associate to join our major, global pharmaceutical client on their latest new-build project based in Ohio, this is a large-scale greenfield capital project and investing more than $1bn.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Procurement Support:
  • Assist in delivering capital projects in alignment with Global Facilities business processes.
  • Support the development and execution of procurement strategies for capital projects to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Facilitate coordination and communication of logistics and warehousing requirements for capital equipment with Construction Management (CM) and Architectural & Engineering (A&E) firms.
Supplier Relationship Management:
  • Support the management of supplier relationships, emphasizing continuous improvement.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with system owners, project controls, automation, and project management teams.
  • Communicate site expectations to suppliers and provide updates on progress and performance.
Support for Manufacturing Business Needs:
  • Gain a thorough understanding of and utilize global manufacturing and related business processes.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to meet internal specifications and standards.
Compliance with Procurement Policies and Objectives:
  • Ensure compliance with global procurement policies and assist in the development and review of local Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as needed.
  • Utilize e-procurement tools in accordance with procurement strategies.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or a related field, preferably within a capital projects environment.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and influencing skills.
  • Basic understanding of logistics and warehousing principles.
  • Solid analytical and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with project planning and implementation.
  • General knowledge of manufacturing business processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to work on smaller capital projects and support larger-scale projects.
