This is a fantastic opportunity for a Project Manager to join our major, global pharmaceutical client on their latest new-build project based in Ohio, this is a large-scale greenfield capital project and investing more than $1bn.
Primary deliverables of this project:
- Collaborate with GFD HSE to ensure alignment with corporate safety practices, environmental requirements, and project standards.
- Advise the GFD Construction Team and Design-Build Contractor on high-risk activities, aiding in HSE planning and risk mitigation.
- Review Construction Safety Execution Plan (CSEP) and Project-Specific HSE Plan (PSHSEP) to establish compliance with HSE standards, specifications, and relevant local legislation.
- Conduct daily independent reviews of on-floor activities, ensuring safe practices, qualification standards, and adherence to stop-work authority protocols.
- Prepare regular reports with observations and recommendations, escalating issues to Project Management and the GFD HSE group as needed.
- Participate in project-specific metrics reviews, trend analysis, root cause analysis (RCA), and corrective action/preventive action (CAPA) completion meetings.
- Review and document LIFE-related near misses, events, and incidents, providing feedback for continuous improvement.
- Track safety leading and lagging indicators to strengthen HSE program implementation.
- Serve as part of the HSE governance process for site and project meetings, facilitating HSE agenda discussions.
- Establish and manage the Safe-to-Operate (STOP) Procedure.
- Support the development and monitoring of Lockout Tag Out (LOTO) programs, ensuring alignment with procedures and best practices.
Must have experience:
- Proven Experience Leading Construction HSE program in Pharma/Biotech or Highly regulated industry.
- English language
- Large scale Investments
- 10+ years’ experience representing owner in large scale construction projects
- OSHA regulations
- 5+ years’ experience representing owner
- Experience establishing and managing LO/TO programs in complex construction and industrial sites.
- Practical Knowledge of construction activities on PSM systems.
- Basic knowledge on SWPP, SPCC, and RCRA
- Capital Project Experience $50M +
